I took a business computing course to fulfill the computer science prerequisite for Haas. One of the admissions officers at Haas confirmed it would fulfill the prerequisite requirement. I'm a little bit worried the adcoms may not acknowledge it. Would it be appropriate for me to mention - in the additional comments box - the name of the admissions officer who affirmed this to me? Or would it just raise more questions?

why are you doubting that it wouldnt match the requirement?

Ok, I'm not really doubting that it should match the requirement. I just want to make sure that the adcoms know I ran this through admissions since it is not specifically listed (on assist) as the prerequisite equivalent. I'm just trying to cover all my bases.

Yeah i would mention it in the Berkeley comment box.

I thought the computer science requirement was ommitted for fall 08 applicants. That's what the haas undergrad website states.

Can you post the link stating that the computer science requirement has been eliminated? I was told in October by the Haas admissions officers that it was going to be eliminated for Fall '09 applicants. However, I was under the impression that it was still a prerequisite for Fall '08 applicants. Although, judging by their response, it seemed like a relatively "unimportant" prerequisite. It still shows up in the prerequisite box in the Haas application supplement.

Undergraduate Program - Admissions - Haas School of Business

Under "Computer Science"

"Computer Science. Students applying to the Haas Undergraduate Program in Fall 2007 may fulfill this requirement by taking a UC transferable course offered by departments such as Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. The course used to fulfill this requirement must carry a minimum of 3 semester or 4 quarter units.

Students applying to the Haas Undergraduate Program in Fall 2008 and beyond will not be required to take the computer science prerequisite. Computer science is no longer required for admission to the Haas Undergraduate Program."

Ok, thanks for the link. I think this is referring to when I applied (Fall 2007) for transfer (Fall '08), so a computer science course is still required. I should be ok, but per sunkissed xo's suggestion, I'll just mention my situation in the comment box anyway.
