Is there any free online gradebook where you can insert grades for yourself so you can keep track of them? I know that many teachers do not handout weekly grade print-outs and I would like to double check myself. Anyone know of any?

Ack I use that mygradebook too...I dont like it.

I insert my grades into excel. you dont need a wesite to do it for you! excel can do the calculations as well

Actually, it's easiest to just periodically ask your teachers about your grades.

^ I agree with the above post.

At my school we can see our grades for anything online. So when a teacher enters a test or homework assignment we can see it right when they enter it in. We also get our report cards that way too.

It says only free for 30 days...so I'll go with my Excel. xD

Our county pays for it. I thought it would ruin my life (my mom is one of those parents), but she's to lazy to type in all those stupid passwords. Plus my teachers suck at inputting grades.

Get your school to start using SchoolLoop.

Basically, it shows you all your homework assignments for the upcoming week (and further if the teachers put them in), your grades (and you can view progress reports), and...this may be the best part...you can "loop mail" other students, teachers, and even administrators.

So yeah, SchoolLoop=love of my life. I don't know if the school has to pay to use it or not, but it's pretty much amazing.

well, if you're going to be hardcore like Anon, you write all your grades down. Then subtract all your grades from 100's and weight them, woohla = average.
Ex.
98, 100, 96, and 94 = tests, 90%
99, 98, 100, 99 = quizzes 10%

you take 2 + 0 + 4 + 6= 12/4 = 3, 100-3=97 x .9
and 1 + 2 + 0 + 1 = 4/4 = 1, 100-1 = 99 x .1

It's pretty weird, but it works and is better than that retard "I'm using a calculator to calculate my average!"

I think it would be a stretch to get my school to use SchoolLoop, since I already have teachers that don't know what we're doing the next day, and it takes them 2 weeks to grade a test and post the score in the grade book.

Yeah, but as soon as they do update their gradebook, it automatically updates to SchoolLoop. And the teachers don't have to post assignments, a lot of mine don't.

You can use engrade.com. You have to register as a class since it's really for teachers, but that doesn't matter. It's free, and easy.
