<p>I was wondering the same thing, but then I read in an earlier post that you don't get a username and password until closer to 12/15 (for those applying ED, anyway).</p>
<p>Really? I thought it's used to track your application materials, so it would make sense for them to give it to you before the decision, no?</p>
<p>Unless Penn has changed in the past couple years, you can't track the individual parts of your application. You'll receive a notification in the mail when your file is complete, but nothing else.</p>
<p>Oh, and just a warning, I think the notification letter begins with a very misleading "Congratulations!".</p>
<p>Would they notify you if a part of your application is missing? say the mailed teacher recs?</p>
