MyUCLA web site

Has anyone tried logging into the MyUCLA web site to see if they could gain access? I used to try logging in every few days or so, and after logging in, it would automatically log me out. Today, after entering my login info, I'm getting an error message:

"MyUCLA services are limited to undergraduate, graduate and professional students who have been officially admitted to UCLA, UCLA Alumni, UCLA University Extension students who have petitioned for concurrent enrollment, UCLA Summer Sessions students, UCLA instructors, and current UCLA staff.

Your UCLA Logon ID does not appear to be affiliated with any of these groups. If you have multiple UCLA Logon IDs, you must use the UCLA Logon ID associated with a 9-digit UCLA Identification Number that is from one or more of these groups. You can look up your UCLA Logon ID at http://logon.ucla.edu. If you have any questions, please contact the MyUCLA help desk at myucla@college.ucla.edu."

For the record, I am able to log onto the URSA site. This is the first time I've seen any change for the MyUCLA login. I hope it doesn't mean anything bad! :(

Weird. I can still log in.

Are you sure you’re not thinking of the URSA site? That’s the one that shows three columns of links… registration, financial aid, etc. The MyUCLA site is different. I can log into URSA, but was never able to log into MyUCLA…

Just to be sure, the MyUCLA site is:

MyUCLA

Yes, I am sure.

I am also listed in the student directory, which kind of freaks me out. It asks me to update my directory info upon logging into myUCLA - so I searched for myself in the directory, and there I am.

When I do a degree audit in URSA, there is no major or anything listed.

I participated in a summer program at UCLA (but didn’t take a class - it was a CCCP scholars thing), so maybe that is why?

Edit:

More info -

Here’s what it prompts me to do when I log into myUCLA:

Your MyUCLA Profile
Nickname Blah
Real Name Blah, Blah
Email blah@blah.com
Publish Classes No, do not publish my classes
This indicates whether your profile will be listed on the Classmates page for other students in your classes.

How do I remove myself from their directory? I don’t want my e-mail published.

Ohh ok, that must be why you can access it then. In the error message, it does say that “UCLA Summer Sessions” students have access to MyUCLA. Whew, you scared me! LOL

Anyone out there who hasn’t taken a summer class, etc. at UCLA who is getting that error message?

PBI: Are we supposed to create our UCLA login right now? I was under the impression that they would e-mail us, and we would create our logins then to see if we were accepted or not.

Sweating bullets, lmao.

But I never took a summer class there. I just participated in a program last summer. However, I didn’t have access to myUCLA back then (I applied last year as well, kinda for the hell of it). I’ll let you know if anything changes.

@Postsecret Technically, you’re not supposed to create it yet… but, when freshman admits were about to come out, I saw that a bunch of freshmen were speculating on CC about whether or not they could tell that they had been admitted by seeing if they had been assigned a UCLA ID number yet, and how many columns were displaying on their URSA page. Curiosity got the best of me, and I registered for a username. When registering, I simply marked that I was an admitted student, and instead of my UCLA ID, I put the number from my UC App and, voila… there I was. I was able to log into the URSA web site, and my name, address, etc. were already in there.

@asphyxiac Thanks for looking out! :)

@newchapter14 Ohmygodd you just freaked me out! It used to just log me out automatically too. Now, it says that same “MyUCLA services are limited to undergraduate, graduate and professional students who have been officially admitted to UCLA, UCLA Alumni, UCLA University Extension students who have petitioned for concurrent enrollment, UCLA Summer Sessions students, UCLA instructors, and current UCLA staff” message.

Awww man! :-(

Why did you have to make this thread?!?!

I just made the account now and tried logging in and I’m also getting the error stating it’s only for students etc. Seems like a bad sign?..

But yeah I can login to the URSA site and look up my address etc. wonder if there’s any hidden hints…

You guys can’t wait two weeks? I’m dying to know decisions too but I wouldn’t go making accounts right away…whether or not they mean anything. What if you DO get into UCLA and it causes issues once you’re enrolled…?

^ It’s no worries. People have been doing this for years now.

Supposedly if your MyFAO has this: http://i303.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/nn155/kizzatielynnn/UCLAMyFAO2.jpg

It’s a good sign in contrast to this:

http://i303.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/nn155/kizzatielynnn/UCLAMyFAO1.jpg

LOL sorry guys. I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything. When I first tried signing up for one, I signed up without inputting my app number or anything, so I had to go back and create a new one once I realized my mistake. I tried logging in with the one that’s not linked to my app number, and it gave me the same error message. Rest assured, you’re fine! :P

@oceanpartier No, I cannot wait! I must know now! Ahhh!! D:

In all seriousness though, all of the freshman applicants were registering for them before being admitted, and apparently the day when decisions were supposed to be released, those who ended up being admitted later that evening went from seeing three columns on URSA to four columns several hours beforehand. Try as I might, I just couldn’t resist the temptation to see what this magical URSA portal was all about. I’m terrible, I know. :[

new chapter I’m checking the old threads from 2 years ago and people started seeing their financial aid award on ursa on the 17th…which pretty much means you’re admitted I believe.

@Chelzmcnamara: I have the document tracking on myFAO, same as you posted on your first picture , but at early as this time, I doubt it means anything.

I have the tracking on myFAO like the 1st pic too, although I had to create a new account as new student since the last one Was opened under applicant(I have 3 accounts there now Haha!)

This is freaking me out. I’m just going to hold off making the account until decisions start getting posted. I feel like a deer in headlights, just petrified, LOL.

I’ll probably be looking at my decision behind my hands. :(

oh golly i’m pooping bricks now. Just reading this thread makes me nervous. i guess i’ll wait it out one week cant be that bad

My fao page looks the same as the first picture. Pretty sure it doesn’t mean much. Anyone have the link to the past threads on this?
