MyUCLA web site

LOL @northbeach, wouldn’t it be messed up if some bored graduate student programmer was just turning stuff on and off and watching us scramble… ; )

but it’s making me pay 150 lol… i dont want to press continue?

@chaotic, oh, no, you don’t have to worry about that. toying with summer sessions will not skew any of the indicators. thus far, the most reliable indicator that we seem to have is the ability to view your financial aid award, which is unaffected by messing with the summer system. if you’re concerned about MyUCLA being affected, it isn’t. there are a couple people here who originally had “Summer Sessions Student” listed in MyUCLA and now have their majors listed; if your MyUCLA is going to change, it is going to do so regardless of whether or not you messed with summer stuff. presently, however, it is unsure how reliable of an indicator that one is. everything else: if it has changed since you explored summer session stuff on URSA, it wouldn’t have been an indicator anyway.

@chaotic
they must be! on their lunch breaks while eating salami on rye. UCB admissions posted on another thread last night. in response to some wacky rumors…it was great. like the spies popping out of the cupboard and waving “hello, hello, we are watching you.” i am definitely making a movie about college admissions, this stuff is so entertaining. what a fantastic experience, the fun for me far outweighs the stress.

@nameless only if you sign up for classes. if you press continue it makes you into a summer student

@namelessfrd
then you just press “ctrl+w” on your keyboard…(or “cmd+w” if you’re using a MAC)

@nbeach
i’m excited abt that movie…lol

@cleokins
hahaha. why wouldn’t they. or posting random pictures of clowns or “butts” our pages, or something completely wacky. hmm. this whole thing is so monty python. i mean the seriousness of these decisions contrasted by our wacky forum. i really think it is healthy and nice.

@choatic
good, cuz you gonna be starring in it!

PS: cannot concentrate on my physics hw…it’s due on tmr morning!

@seonoh
if you are on this thread, you are IN.

^??? adcom???

@chaotic
good luck with the physics. that is my favorite academic subject.
but not my major.

So will ucla release their decisions at midnight or 5pm on Friday?

When exactly does the “summer session student” on MyUCLA change to your major? Does it happen after the 3AM update? Or does it only happen to admitted students during the update? Thanks in advance.

@uckitty
what is adcom? is that some sort of “code” that says we are all admitted?

@chaotic, are you a physics student? or engineering? I can’t concentrate on my physics homework either :/

@iCarpet, it seems to take place during the update, but it doesn’t happen for everyone. so, seeing your major in MyUCLA is a fairly good indication that you’ve been accepted, from what I can tell from last year’s thread, but NOT seeing it is not an indication of rejection, necessarily.

@yabeardo
rumor has it 5PM. but hey, that could be sooo wrong.

the adcoms are the nicknamed titles that the admission committees.

so I’m asking if you are one because you said seanoh is in as if you had some inside info, and if you do is there any about mine?

adcom=evaluators
