NACAC list of college openings is out early

In a twisty year, yet another twist.

NACAC’s list of college opening is out early, with about 195 schools on it. That will likely grow to 500+ through May.

Some schools of note (on a very quick perusal)

BU–has transfer openings.

Frosh openings (many with FA):
Duquesne
Florida Tech
Goucher
Iowa State
Juniata
Kansas State
U South Florida
U Colo Boulder
Quinnipiac
Susquehanna
Rose Hulman
Mich State
Loyola New Orleans
UNC Greensboro
Providence College
Roanoke
Wooster
UAH
UArizona

Remember, some schools haven’t yet closed their applications either, like U Alabama, Pitt, and Rutgers.

University of South Florida and Wooster don’t show Freshman openings as of now, just openings for transfers.

What does it mean if the entries are still opening? Like more enrollment?

I don’t know why, but I’m always surprised that Oregon aka University of California at Eugene has room to grow their freshman class.

In PA, Elizabethtown, Juniata, Susquehanna, and York College of PA could be worthy of consideration IMO.

There are been many changes today, including the addition of 41 more schools, now up to 236 in total.

Yes, some still taking frosh, some transfers, some both.

Also in PA, newly added Washington & Jefferson is also a lesser known (on CC) gem if folks are looking. It’s over relatively near Pittsburgh.

Kings College London is on there if people are willing to go international. Probably objectively the most prestigious school on the list.

Penn State is on there, along with St. Olaf

I was surprised to see St. Olaf. Penn State not so much; it was on the list last year, too. I doubt that there are many spots open at main campus. They’re probably trying to fill spaces at their many branch campuses, which are perennially under-enrolled.

Yeah, I don’t know why that’s surprising either. It’s one of 2 big publics in a low-population state (similar to the situation at IA, OK, and KS).

Maybe if you had responded three weeks ago when I posted that response, then I might have given you an answer to yours.

Hint: It’s “subliminally hidden” in my earlier post.
