Name all Highschool competitions and contests

<p>Can anybody name all the competitions they know or already runned at their school?
I want to know since i am a senior this year and I just want help. I want to compete in some
our school is new and I am the part of the first graduating class
Could some one list some cool competitions BUILD on!
1) Sci olympiad
2) chem olympiad</p>

<p>Addition to your events. did you participate to these events yourselves or were your school already a competitor and you joined the team?</p>

<p>I participated in AMC/AIME/USAMO, Math league, a regional science fair (didn’t make ISEF), SciOly, and was a member on my school’s FIRST robotics team. I didn’t do Decathlon or Scholastic Art.</p>

<p>If you go back far enough in this forum or do some well-worded searches, you’ll find a lot of older threads with hundreds and hundreds of competitions and contests listed. That being said, there isn’t a lot that you can do if you’re just starting in senior year. You can definitely do local competitions/regional competitions (ie mock trial, science bowl, model un) but the national competitions require some prior preparation. The USAMO, USABO, USAPhO, etc. all have their regionals take place in a few months, but most people have started prepping for those months and months ago. FIRST robotics requires a large financial investment (especially if you’re doing FRC) and success in science research competitions requires you to do research over the summer. Basically: I would suggest doing some research into local/regional opportunities and competing in those rather than jumping into the more competitive, national opportunities right away :)</p>
