Alright so basically I have a Korean name and most Korean names have two parts for just the first name, and basically throughout school I’d alternate between putting them together and seperating them, but for my ACT and SAT (which I’ve already taken and satisfied with) my name is put together, but on legal documents they’re apart, still the same spellings, just one has a space in it and one doesn’t, will this affect me for college applications and score sending?
No. You are not the first Korean with this issue. People from Spanish-speaking countries often have double last names. Some people have hyphenated last names. Some people have prepositions in their surnames (de, o’, van, etc). Some have patronymics. Trust me - they figure it out.
We had a similar issue with a misspelling on the name for the PSAT. I had to call the college board, but then they were able to link the accounts and figure it all out.
Okay thank you guys!
