Napping

^ so true, yet so not a good excuse.

I feel like I have to nap in order to get any sleep.

I get sleep paralysis at night (often in the day too, but it’s more tolerable) and can’t get a decent sleep and then insomnia usually follows after the paralysis.

googles sleep paralysis

I don’t typically take naps. Doesn’t napping serve as a negative factor in terms of one’s sleeping patterns?

back from google: that sleep paralysis stuff sounds scary…

I sleep for half the day then go to bed really late and repeat.

My dad takes naps like its his job. Well it is his job I guess because he’s retired. Lol. He also snores like a damn elephant…not cool.

I’m one of those people who can sleep anywhere, anytime, and wake up whenever they are needed.

So you’re Superman?

Sleeping in class is easier than sleeping in my room. But there’s this chick in my class who sometimes sleep with her eyes open in class.

So. Damn. Scary.

I nap. A LOT. I kinda stopped sleeping for long hours.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the moment I come home from school/activities - I need to drop dead immediately. I get so exhausted.

It’s really starting to bug me, because the last few weeks, it’s almost like I take a nap for a roughly ~30 minute increments throughout the evening and entire night until it’s time to leave for school. It’s not even polyphasic sleeping, which I would be okay with.

It does take a toll on your body. Thankfully, I readjusted my sleeping pattern over the break, I hope I can keep it up.

"I get sleep paralysis at night (often in the day too, but it’s more tolerable) and can’t get a decent sleep and then insomnia usually follows after the paralysis. "

Me, too!

I find it pretty difficult to fall asleep unless I’m in a classroom listening to a teacher lecturing. Sometimes, I sleep at night, too.

I just took a nap  I’m still tired…might have to take another.

Long naps are like circadian suicide for me.

But I do like to take small naps sometimes. I’m known to be able to fall asleep just about anywhere (on my friend’s bed hugging her cat, in the middle of a horror movie, etc).

^I laughed…friend’s bed hugging her cat, that actually sounds like you’re holding on to a blanket… :D

Dude, you have no idea how long I spent courting that cat before it would even let me touch him. haha

But it was all worth it. He’s the cutest, fluffiest, and sweetest thing ever and now he lets me hug him :]

Yea, I tend to hold on to things when I sleep. I have five pillows (and a “lifesize” stuffed elephant) on my bed for hugging. And my friends always play rock paper scissors to see who gets to sleep next to me, because they know that they’ll wake up with me latched onto them. lol

My mom had a hard time making nap when I was little because I was afraid I’d “miss” something…lol. I still don’t nap…

Lol, no, just a resourceful teen who has learned to cope with sleep deprivation… For example today my family went to a museum, and on the way home I fell asleep in the back seat. When we stopped for food and my mom asked what I wanted, my sister said “he’s asleep,” at which I immediately sat up and said “I’m awake.” and ordered.

Ahhh I do that too given the right incentive.
