I think that C.S. Lewis tie to Christianity without being blatant was cool. As I watched the movie, I picked up on alot more biblical references than when I read the books as a kid.
How does its tie to Christianity make it more horrible?

I really need to see the movie because I loved the books when I was little. I liked the other movies (even though they were low-budget. brownorbust I agree about C. S. Lewis' ties to Christianity....I don't mind if they are there as long as they don't jump out at me.

Really? I thought it was very blatant. Literally all of the people around me were whispering giddily, "Wow, just like Jesus!"

I think brownorbust was referring to the books, in which the references were not very obvious, and is citing that as the reason why he/she did not like the new movie.

^^I liked the movie, but I think the movie was more blatant than the books, which takes away from C.S. Lewis' point. Like JRR Tolkien, he too wanted to tie in his theology without straight out saying it.

"Really? I thought it was very blatant. Literally all of the people around me were whispering giddily, 'Wow, just like Jesus!'"

I was thinking that, but without the "wow." It was pretty blatant, but I simply thought it just WASN'T what the story was about.

But it was.

It doesn't make it horrible, exactly, but I'm pretty much anti-Christianity. I could go on and on and be more blasphemous than you can imagine, but in short, Narnia was just a stupid movie.

And don't go bashing my beliefs, I've gotten the worst of brunts. Or, go ahead and bash. My opinions won't change.

Its funny when you think that the little girl has already grown up and everything and when she goes back she has all the memory of it. Wouldnt that be really weird?
