My daughter was accepted to a NASM school BUT we got a weird letter stating that she needs to confirm her intent to enroll by March 31st before she will be considered for any scholarships.
My understanding was that a NAFM school gave a student until May 1 to decide and any intent to enroll made before that date is non-binding?

Here, from the NASM website:

Under the rules of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), you have the right to wait to respond to an offer of admission and/or financial aid until May 1. Any offer you accept before May 1 is not binding before May 1.

Thank you! That is what I thought but I know we have some experts here so I wanted to check. I had initially checked with another school to see when their scholarship offers were going out and mentioned this to the head of the department she knew exactly which school and said they do this knowing most people don’t know what NASM is and it is their way of trying to get first dibs.
