Nass

I applied for NASS last night with my PSAT scores. I didn't do very well on the PSAT. However, I studied a good deal for the January SAT and I think that I did well on that. The scores are being sent to Annapolis. Does anyone know if the scores will be there before they make a decision about me? It says on the Collegeboard website that I will have access to my scores on Feb. 14. Will the Academy get the scores before that? Also, when should I find out if I am accepted or not? Thanks!

Good luck on getting into NASS, Eagle. Just remember, even if you don't get into NASS, it doesn't mean you won't get an appointment for 2013.

My d applied for NASS last year 1 minute after the opening of the app. She had great scores/grades/etc, and received her NASS acceptance in March, even before the application window closed. I doubt that anyone will hear anything earlier than mid- to late-March.

I believe that the Jan. SAT scores will be available for viewing on 2/14. This is my son's first SAT. That is a long long test! My other son had to take it 3 times to get a decent score..He's now a Youngster. Even his best score wasn't stellar.

2012mom? your daughter did exactly what my girl did in '05...learned that by the end of the FIRST day USNA had already had several hundred applications!
She applied to all 3 Service Academies...although USMMA and USAFA opened theirs on Jan 1st....and heard within 3 weeks from those 2 about her acceptance to their programs - and heard within a month or early March for NASS.

Keep us informed about your girl!

Hi Peskemom! My girl has her LOA and nom, and is waiting to see if she gets her medical waiver. She passed the additional med tests that were requested, and the remedial info has been at DoDMERB for about a month, so we're hoping to hear positive news soon!

we're pulling for your girl, 2012mom? keep us all informed!

ha ha, it's been a year and 3 days since I started the application process to USNA... can't believe it's starting for 2013 already.

it's so weird how time has simply flown!! I remember being so excited that February night! Good Luck class of 2013!!!
