<p>Unrelated to northwestern, i know, but does anyone know when nat merit scholarships are mailed out? (the actual 2500$ ones.) i know that some people got them already...but i wasnt sure if there was only one time that they are mailed, or if they are continuously mailed throughout april.</p>
<p>also, does anyone know whether the amount of money you get for being a finalist from NU depends on financial status or merit? if you dont need any aid, is the most you can get $500?

<p>there was a card that came w/ the semifinalist packet that u mailed or faxed to them...if u dont have it, call them or write them a letter and ask for one, or just tell them ur choice or whatever
u have to tell them i think by may 1st..but watch out i could be wrong</p>

they just took the money out of my "scholarship" and put it in
anticipated scholarship the nm one
so i got the exact same amount of money even if i didn't get the nm schlshp. oh well who cares

<p>The deadline for notifying NM of your first choice college is the 20th of April. They're apparently very strict about this.</p>
