National Buckeye, Maximus, Provost, Trustee

Just curious how many have heard about these scholarships. My OOS daughter was accepted first wave but hasn’t heard about merit aid. ??

My OOS daughter was same. First wave acceptance and then heard back from honors a few weeks later.
She wrote an e-mail this week and received a response stating she would find out in the next few weeks.

However we did hear about Eminence on Tuesday and she is a finalist. So excited. We hope that means the Buckeye is an option should she not receive the Eminence. I would think so, but don’t want to get hopes up.

@Frogs12345 Congrats to your daughter on being an Eminence Finalist! That’s exciting! We recently heard back on Scholars - she got International Affairs - fingers crossed for Morrill or Buckeye! Good luck to your daughter!!

OOS Son received Maximus last week. He was accepted in Dec to Ohio State.

@class22and23 Congrats! Did he receive National Buckeye too? Trying to see if there will be a pattern to the announcements…

Our honors page says “To continue in the Scholars application process, you must submit this Scholars Program Interest Form by the deadline indicated in your email.”

Did anyone else get this? What does it mean? Meaning, did we miss something in the initial application and is this a good sign?

@Yoda13 Thanks. Yes he received both the National Buckeye and Maximus.

@class22and23 How was he notified? Did an email come?

Notified by US mail.

@yoda13 My daughter is also an International Affairs Scholar. She started a FB group so they can start to get to know each other. Have her search “OSU International Affairs Scholars 2023” I tried to include the link on another post, but it wasn’t allowed. Let me know if she can’t find it.

Last year our daughter qualified for Provost. If I recall correctly, the Maximum and out of state scholarships were announce way before hers was. It may have even been after the FAFSA data so they could see if there were other awards to give her. Be patient - it’s coming

My son was a direct admit to Fisher, 1450 SAT, high school does not rank, we are OOS. Is the National Buckeye scholarship extremely limited in the number who receive it or is it given to many?

Son, oos , 1450 SAT, direct to fisher, received both provost and national
Buckeye by mail yesterday. Was accepted in Dec. applied EA August.

OOS daughter received National Buckeye and Trustee yesterday by mail. Accepted via EA in December. 1470 SAT, 3.7 GPA.

OOS son received National Buckeye and Provost on Saturday. 35 ACT, 3.87 GPA accepted Jan 15 to Engineering.

@MomMartha @ScientificRocket and others receiving money - do you see that updated in ‘Financial Aid’ section? Does that happen before or after you get the letter?

I have a son who is a sophomore at Ohio State, and a daughter who is a high school junior. For my future reference, I am curious how the scholarships that were awarded for this year’s HS grads align with the Ohio state class rank, and test score numbers for each scholarship (Provost, Trustee, etc). Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share.

I’m in-state and received the Maximus. 36 ACT, 3.96 UW GPA. I don’t think OSU will end up being affordable enough for my family, though, unfortunately.
