Eminence Invite?

My DS was accepted to OSU last month and yesterday received a letter offering him the Buckeye and Maximus scholarships, for which we are most appreciative. From reading past threads, it seemed like some students were invited to apply for the Eminence scholarship. I know that anyone can apply for Eminence, but I’m thinking no invitation suggests he’s not that competitive. Is Eminence only offered to Honors students? If so, when are students offered Honors? Are all Honors students invited to apply to Eminence? We know that Eminence is super-competitive, but thought it was worth a try if he were invited. Has anyone received an Eminence invite yet? We’d love to hear from anyone that can shed light on this process. Thanks in advance.

Did your child get the letter by regular mail or email? I am waiting for something to come for my son. Were OOS and waiting for the Buckeye $12,000 to come for OOS. Is that what your child got?

Regular mail only. Yes, Buckeye $12K and Maximus $6K.

sorry for not answering your question but was there any indication of the buckeye scholarship on the buckeyelink portal? thanks!

No, I just checked the buckeye portal and I don’t see mention of the buckeye scholarship anywhere.

Congrats, hopefully my sons will come in the mail this week :)

Thanks @college67, I hope it’s in your Monday mail.

Did your child put down her class rank on her application?

@Quinn1, No, because his school doesn’t rank.

I called Ohio State today and Admissions stated they come out on rolling basis as well. the Maximus scholarship and the Buckeye was the first one they released. More to follow per admissions :)
