how important do you all think NCL is in college admissions? Where we live it's more of a "social" club. The popular girls and the popular moms club. We were invited to join (sponsored), but I do not want to be involved in it if it's known for just being a social club everywhere.

Is it like that all over the country or just in our little area?

It probably helps a bit just because it shows that ur involved in something besides academics. Unless you do something amazing with it, it won’t help much though. Just the same as any other club.

My D and I were in NCL. What she did was to single out a few of the philanthropies and focus on those, rather than her involvment in National Charity League. We were told that some admissions officers don’t like NCL, so to keep that low key.
