tomjones, from the overview of the College Match process (http://www.questbridge.org/students/process.html):

“Students complete and submit the QuestBridge online application and send in transcripts, test score reports, two teacher recommendations, and one counselor recommendation (Secondary School Report) by September 30.” (from item 1 on this linked page)

“Finalists participating in the College Match process submit additional required documents to the colleges that they have ranked by November 2. See College Specific Requirements for details.” (from item 6 on this linked page BUT KEEP READING FOR MORE IMPORTANT INFO.)

HERE"S THAT IMPORTANT INFO I JUST MENTIONED (Gosh, I feel like Billy Mayes…)

Be SURE to go to the pages which list requirements for each of the schools you have matched. Here’s the main page again from which you can access these: [College Match Program: Requirements](http://questbridge.org/cmp/college_requirements.html)
Click on the schools you’re ranking for their requirements.

From the MIT College Match requirements: “Request official score reports from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified of your QuestBridge finalist status on October 23. You should not use the “rush reporting” service.”

Now, contrast this with Bowdoin.
From the Bowdoin College Match requirements: “Students participating in the Match process need not submit official scores to Bowdoin College. Those who are matched with Bowdoin should send an official score report in December to verify the information on the QuestBridge application.”

Then contrast these with Northwestern:
“If official test scores are included on your official high school transcript, you do not need to submit any additional test score information to Northwestern. If official test scores are not included on your official high school transcript, please request official score reports from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified of your QuestBridge finalist status on October 23. You should not use the “rush reporting” service.”

Three different policies from three different schools. That’s why it is so important to go to the website and read the requirements for all the schools you rank. I didn’t go through all the partner schools’ pages. The majority I looked at have the same policy as MIT, but obviously you need to look each one up.

If you’re a Finalist don’t dawdle in getting all the required materials submitted so they have enough time to arrive. Each partner school’s College Match requirements page begins with the same exact paragraph:
“If you have ranked [school’s name] as one of your choices for the QuestBridge National College Match, the following four items must be submitted to the college as soon as you are notified of your finalist status on October 23. It is highly recommended that you begin this process in early October. If you do not submit the required materials by November 2, 2009, [school’s name] may choose not to consider your application for the College Match.”
