Can someone explain what it means to be in the National French Honor Society? Is this entirely different from placing nationally in the National French Contest?

Yeah the national french contest and french honor society arent related. French honor society just requires you to have a certain GPA in french and to have been taking it for a couple of years I think.

I believe NFHS requirements depend on the chapter. My chapter requires that you be a junior or senior with an A in French is B on Honors/AP French.

At my school it means you have a B+ or above going into Ib french 1 and you pay like $5. Then we have a meeting every month which usually gets cancelled, or we talk about all the stuff we're going to do that we aren't actually going to do.

We did sell Mardi Gras beads and have a potluck. But now the other french teacher is in charge of it next year and she is generally more involved in the organizing aspect. Our other french teacher kind of just didn't get the ball rolling very well. It took us like three months to vote on officers.
