If you get the National Hispanic Recognition Award and qualify as a finalist (cut off score, half hispanic, and school sign off), will USC consider that the same as national merit finalist for their Presidential half tuition award? There is no mention of the hispanic award on their website, only national merit finalist.
Daughter received the National Hispanic Recognition Award but was not a National Merit Finalist. Was accepted to USC and invited to interview for the Presidential Scholarship. She was awarded the Presidential and will be attending fall 2019. However, there is nothing stating that NH Scholars are guaranteed anything at USC. Daughter did receive full-tuition plus stipend offers to three other universities, but chose USC. University of Kentucky promises full tuition for NH Scholars.
