I was wondering if anyone knew about the scholarships available for a designated National Hispanic Scholar by the College Board. Looking through my USC packets (the one I am talking about is the Undergraduate Application 2007 magazine type packet), I saw a mention of Trustee, Presidential, National Merit Presidential, National Achievment Presidential, National Hispanic Presidential, Associates' and Deans. Does anyone know if I could get any of these by virtue of having gotten the designation?

From what I read on other threads, National Hispanic Scholars are given the National Merit Scholarship (which is essentially a presidential scholarship).

I didn't see that scholarship listed this year under the merit scholarships, as they did in prior years. I called the financial aid office and they referred me to the admissions office. I called admissions and they really didn’t know. I called the regional admissions rep and she left us a voice mail letting us know the NH scholarship is not offered this year.

My D still applied for admission, but we are not expecting National Hispanic scholarship award of any kind.

and what does that entail?

It used to be the Pesidential scholarship. Same one offered to National Merit Scholars.
