Thanks. Do you know of any that are better colleges but offer partial?

Yes, a number of good colleges give partial scholarships to National Merit Finalists. They are the "sponsor colleges", and the awards vary in amount, I think they are supposed to be $500-$2000, and renewable. I seem to have lost my list of the colleges, semi-finalists get a list of all the colleges that participate. The two I remember off the top of my head are Bowdoin and Oberlin. I think the amount varies based on your need at some colleges. I know at Bowdoin they gave the $2000 but also changed any loans in the financial aid package to grants.

University of Florida gives nearly a full ride and is a top 50 and improving school.

Thanks.

Id have a full ride at UF without NM. I wanna get out of this frickin' state. thanks anyway though. :)

Moni, I'm from florida too. I'm in the same boat as you. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be easy to find any schools better than UF that will give as much merit aid. We can't afford to pay full freight...

... excuse you, exrunner? ahem Tulsa!!

Uh, I know what you mean ExRunner. I'll either come out of college with major debt or decide to go to a college that gives decent aid (not full, but maybe half) and work at Hooters or something on the side.
