Good National Merit Schools

So I found out today that Im a National Merit Finalist. I got a few things in the mail over the past few months from different schools saying that if I became a finalist and were accepted I would recieve some type of scholarship. Some of the better ones i can remember came from Florida, OU, Texas, and LSU. However I never applied to any of these schools. So my question is do any of you know of any other schools (primarily in the Southeast) that have good (near full) scholarship packages for National Merit Finalist and that are still accepting applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i remember there was a post about this, and someone gave a link that listed a lot of schools. try searching this forum.

We have recently received letters from Arizona State Universtiy (full ride), Baylor (full tuition plus other extra merit money), UT Dallas full ride. These are a few that are probably still accepting. The list mentioned above is quite extensive. I believe it was created by L J and includes all the links to the national merit schools.

Vanderbilt guarantees at least 5K to accepted NMFs who designate Vanderbilt as their first choice school.

Here's the link to colleges giving full rides to NM scholars.
Incidentally, some also give scholarships to National Achievement and National Hispanic scholars as well as to students scoring well on the SAT: http://homepage.mac.com/l_j/secondhome/National_Merit.html

great link northstarmom thanx

Dtmseven, Alabama offers full tuition & housing for 4 years, $1000/yr x 4 years, $2000 one-time study abroad or research stipend, and laptop computer to NMSC Finalists who list them first (still time to change). This is an automatic scholarship, so I suspect they will still offer it if you apply for admissions now. They are also building a new suite-style dorm (ready by Fall 05) for which freshmen Honors College students are pretty much guaranteed to get into. I've looked at most of the schools in the SE, and this is one of the better automatic scholarship packages available.
