<p>Hey! I just got a letter in the mail from NYU talking about their "unique" National Merit Finalist program and it sounded really interesting! Has anyone participated in this/have any information on this program?</p>

<p>If it's the same thing from when I was in school, you either get something like $1000/year in scholarship if you don't get a National Merit scholarship, and they... double (?) the National Merit scholarship (for the first year only!) if you do get it. </p>
<p>They might be referring to something else, though...</p>
