National Merit Scholarship at U of Arizona reduced for 2016-2017!

@RedbirdDad, yes we did go visit the Barret as ASU this summer. Great facility and offer, but my daughter thought ASU proper (outside the Barret) was too large for her. She is actually comparing schools against UT Dallas and her thoughts were she would prefer to go to UT Dallas vs ASU. She did like UA, better rec center than UTD among other things. We are hoping to here back from UA probably next week. My D somehow heard first wave of acceptances are going out 11/5.

UCF also gives NMFs a free laptop (around $1500).

@Skates76 and @BobWallace Drexel pulled the full ride for NMF from their web site literally just days ago.

I discovered by accident: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/18918787/#Comment_18918787

Drexel’s scholarship pages have been screwy since late in the summer. First they are there, then not, bad links within the site, information seems to change haphazardly. I’m not sure if they are still offering the NMF scholarship or not, but if not they will have a hard time drawing top students with that price tag and ranking combination.

DD still has a few competitive scholarship schools at the top of her list, but UCF is now her solid favorite of all of the NMF schools. Can’t wait to visit later this month.

The NMF Scholarship has still not returned in any form to the Drexel Scholarship page for the 2016-2017 admissions cycle. It may be getting to the point where it is safe to say they simply don’t offer it any longer, or at least not for this year.
