National Merit Scholarship

I'm a US resident, but I'm currently studying abroad (in India). Though my residence is technically in Mamou, Louisiana, on the NMSC form I put my address in India (I'll be finishing high school here before I head back to the states)

My question is- where does that put me on the NMSC? Will I have to compete with other Louisiana residents for the Semifinalist selection or will I be considered as a US citizen living abroad?

This makes a big deal because I got 222 on my PSAT, which isn't that high a score-- and I know that I can do well in the Semifinalist pool, I just need to scrape through!

Help, please!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention- I’ve reached stage 1. I.e., I’m among the 50,000 top scorers (doesn’t really make me feel very important!)…

I think you would be considered with internationals, last year the cutoff was 221 (scroll down, it’s just past Wyoming).
