Question regarding NMSF status

I'm currently a high school junior living in Michigan, and although I am neither a U.S. citizen nor a permanent resident, my family has applied for the latter. The status of our application is still pending, and we intend to become permanent residents as soon as the law allows (I think this was one of the requirements for NMSF eligibility). My PSAT score earlier this year was significantly higher than the Michigan cutoff (209). However, due to family circumstances and various other reasons, it looks like I'll be moving to California for my senior year. How will my PSAT score be evaluated in this context? Will it be judged according to the Michigan cutoff (since I was living in Michigan when I took it), or according to the California cutoff? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Bump… 10char

Bumping once more… alternatively, is there someone out there who transferred high schools after completing junior year and taking the PSAT?

…nobody? :(

pretty sure it’s based on the state you took it in/had residency in when you took it. Im not 100% sure but that’s my thinking.

^ Yeah, that seems to make sense. Thanks :D

My suggestion would be to call the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and ask them directly. They are nice on the phone and they are the ones who would be able to give you an accurate answer.
