National Society of Leadership and Success

So I attended St. John's University in my first year of college and transferred to another school due to the enormous tuition that St. John's demanded. However, I've received an invitation to Sigma Alpha Pi and REALLY wanted it, but unfortunately, have transferred. Can I still join or is it too late?

It depends on whether the school you transferred to has a chapter. Pretty sure if you aren’t at St. John’s, you can’t join honor societies which invite you via their chapters.

Also, the NSLS Sigma Alpha Pi is a for-profit organization and does not have accreditation from the Association of College Honor Societies. I received an invitation from them too, and I found out that they determine the list of invitations based on a GPA aggregation algorithm and not necessarily from faculty recommendation (a faculty board may approve invitations if they feel the need, but it is not required) and a one time 3.5 GPA puts you on that list. There is a one time $85 entry fee, which isn’t bad, but you need to recognize this isn’t the same as other, more notable and prestigious honor societies. They do, however, offer some scholarships.

In short, I recommend you should do more research on the organization before becoming a member, assuming you are able to become a member.
