Well, I am 100% fluent in Spanish, and my teacher made me take the National Spanish Exam. i was just like "lol ok" so I took it and I got the best score in my school (100 >w>). I was then wondering, is this thing special or not? I mean I'll put it in apps anyways. Just asking if it happens to be important.

Thanks.

This is a good question to ask your teacher and your guidance counselor.

Depending on where you will be applying to college, you should consider taking one or more of the following exams: SAT II Spanish, CLEP Spanish, AP Spanish Language, and AP Spanish Lit. Again, talk with your teacher and your guidance counselor about how each of these exams fit into your plans for college and for life.

I don’t think it matters for college apps. I’ve never heard of anyone who has put their NSE score on their app. It’s sort of like how colleges don’t really care about states’ standardized test scores.

it does matter, but it might not look as good since you’re fluent. but i mean you can still put it under awards. people on this website only care about math and science awards, but nse is pretty prestigious if you place in the state, etc.

Does anyone know what it means to get the “Bronze Award” in the National Spanish Exam?
Is it that good or important?

my friend has gotten 1st in Michigan for the past 2 years on the NSE

Is National Spanish Exam the same thing as DELE?

Yeah I got gold and yes I am taking all Spanish SAT II and APs.
