Could any NA who got accepted into Harvard in recent years please post their stats? Thanks!
If you use the search function (the magnifying glass) and look for “Native American decision threads” it will pull up the SCEA and RD decision threads of past years highlighting the words “Native American” and you can view the stats of applicants who claimed they were Native American. (The Common Application now asks for a tribe number so student’s can’t pull an Elizabeth Warren and claim being 1/16 NA.)
My guess is that your search won’t tell you much, as all students, regardless of ethnicity, are accepted and rejected with the same stats. What that should tell you is the deciding factor is something other than GPA or SAT score – namely essays, teacher recommendations, guidance counselor’s Secondary School Report and interview report. Unfortunately, that kind of information is never posted on a stat thread.
The Ivies love Native American applicants. If you have 680 or more on the SATs, are at the top of your class, say a 3.8 or more, your teachers and GC love you, you have decent ECs, you are in the running. Dartmouth has a particular interest and history of accepting NAs, if you happen to like the north woods. Best of luck.
