My son took the ACT and he deleted the score after it came out, but somehow it appeared on Naviance. Will colleges be able to see the ACT score through Naviance?

I'm assuming when the ACT scores came out, his guidance counselor put them up before my son was able to complete the cancellation request

Naviance is a tool used by HS. I don’t think colleges have access to the system. Unless you submit the score with your application, colleges won’t consider it.

In order for a college to see your score, you have to physically choose to forward it to them through the College Board website. I also think you can send to them for free when he took the actual ACT, if he decided right then that he wanted it blindly sent before seeing the actual score.

If my son did choose to send the ACT score to colleges automatically during the test, but deleted the score once it came out, can the colleges he chose to have the score sent to still see it?

@JHuff11, I think the schools get the report before the student sees the scores so even if the student cancels the score once the student sees it the school already has it. If the school is test optional, however, the student can direct the school to not consider the score and the problem is solved
