Hello all! This is my first post here at CC but I've already visited the site numerous times. Anyways I have a couple questions that I would like to get peoples opinions on. I am currently 19 years old and will be 20 in march and I am freshman at East Carolina University. My intended Major is Accounting and I finished my first semester of college with a 3.8 gpa. I know it's still early to be thinking too much about this but I wanted to start planning out my future.

I am currently enrolled at East Carolina and I am very proud to be a Pirate. I love ECU and Greenville and I am having the time of my life here. My concern arises however when I start thinking about my future, especially in todays though economic times. As of right now I want to apply to NC State and UNC for transfer for my junior and senior year. I know with an accounting degree the curriculum is pretty general across the board in terms of requirements. I was wondering if its even worth transferring from ECU to another NC school. I know East Carolina is a fast growing university with a top 20 medical program in the country. I was curious to how ECUs business school ranks compared to NCSU and UNC. Obviously UNC would be the ultimate goal but I do realize its a much harder academic life than I am currently undergoing. I know NCSU is a big engineering school but how is their "college of management"? I was wondering about recruitment for jobs also being in either Greenville, Raleigh, or Chapel hill. I want to make sure I am getting the best possible opportunity for myself to succeed but I want to be honest and realistic here. I also have a lot of friends and love living in Greenville. Leaving here would require some serious motivates.

I am asking for any advice and expertise from people that know the Business world here in North Carolina or have good knowledge about the 3 schools that I am considering. Like I said, I am just a college student trying to keep my head above water out here and any help is appreciated!
