UNC vs. NCSU Dilemma

Okay, here goes nothing. First off, let me say that I have been accepted into Chapel Hill as a transfer student for Fall 2011. Yay me! as I thought I had just thrown $70 in the trash. Anyway...I have been accepted as an Economics major.
Currently I am attending UNC- Charlotte and majoring in Accounting w/ minor in either MIS or OPSCM. Ultimately I would like to be working at a distribution center or manufacturing company. I like to play with numbers especially when it comes to cost and budgeting.
I have also applied to NC State and my application is under review. Assuming that I also get accepted to NCSU, I'm wondering what the smartest choice will be?
UNC will not transfer any of my business classes. All of my gen. eds are fulfilled, so I'm pretty much down to core curriculum. UNC has all of their issues with getting into the business school. They also do not offer an emphasis in Accounting if I do get in.
In all honesty, although I'm sure I could do it, Economics is just not my cup of tea. I find it extremely interesting, but sort of frown on the fact that its not a business degree.
Do I go to NC State, who will transfer all of my credits in and offer me a similar degree?
Or suck it up and get on the Econ train, hope that I can get into the business school and stay on the econ train if it's not possible?
The difference in school rankings is what is really tearing me apart. UNC is a top notch school, whereas NCSU is a good school and much better than UNC- Charlotte...the school I'm attending now, but obviously much lower ranked than UNC. Any comments or opinions will be appreciated.

Maybe you’ll get denied by NCSU and that will make your decision much easier :p

…but that’s very unlikely since you obviously have the stats to get into UNC. Academically, UNC is of course the stronger school. Have you done the pre requisites for UNC’s business school or will they not transfer?

Sorry that I’m not much help since I know very little about State. I’m actually transferring to UNC for fall 2011 as well.

You also need to look at which school you will be happier at? Which school has the best environment for you?

I’ve done the pre requisites, but only the English, Econ and Math courses transfer. I have an appointment with an advisor via phone in a few days and I’m going to see if I can get permission from the Dean to do the pre-req Accounting classes online during the summer. I’m loosing 2 Accounting classes, 2 Management classes, 1 MIS class, 1 Marketing class, and 1 Operations Management class if I choose to go the business route and get accepted. On the plus, the business curriculum should be extremely easy for me(UNC or not.) I’ve just taken the core of their BSBA program, only none of it transfers. What’s funny to me is that Economics, in my opinion, is a lot harder than Business Administration. I’m sailing through these business courses right now.
