NCAA-transcripts

Just to be sure I'm understanding this correctly.
When submitting the academic transcripts (e.g. high school transcript) to the NCAA eligibility center, they must be sent via mail (like through the post office) and NOT via e-mail?

Last year D had transcripts sent directly from her HS through an NCAA online service called Parchment.

We used the same process. A parent initiates a request for a transcript using the Parchment service and it is sent directly to the NCAA. Same with test scores, all sent directly from the testing service.

A few years back, for my older son, (prior to our HS school going to an on-line service), the transcript needed to be mailed directly to the NCAA from the HS counselors office. A paper copy needed an “official” seal.
