I'm a current sophomore applying to NCSSM from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area... and the DEADLINE IS 1/15/13!

Here is my problem: I have the option to apply to both the online and residential programs, but I'm not sure which one I should select as my first choice. This is my dilemma...

Case 1: If I apply to both programs but choose Online as my first choice, I'm pretty sure I have a better chance of getting into online. But if I do get into online, I can no longer get into residential. And if I'm rejected from online, there is no way I can get into residential.

Case 2: If I apply to both programs but choose residential as my first choice, and if I get rejected from residential, I will be reviewed for online. However, there will be less spots available for online because some people will have filled up more spots if they chose online first.

I REALLY want to get into residential, but I don't want to ruin my chances of getting into online.

Here are my basic stats:

SAT: 2090 - about 400 points above school average
-760 math
-700 writing
-630 reading

NOW MY TRANSCRIPT IS WHAT'S FREAKING ME OUT!!!

9th grade:

Concert Band - A
Spanish 1 - A
Honors Algebra 2 - A
PE/Health - A
Honors English 1 (VERY, VERY RIGOROUS) - B
Honors Earth/Environmental Science - A
Honors World History (idiotic reason, screwed up on final) - B
Advanced Literacy Concepts (Advanced English course, but I only took it because it's an extra honors class - VERY, VERY RIGOROUS) - B

GPA - 3.625 uw. and 4.25 w.

Sophomore classes - so far, all A's

Symphonic Band (Honors) - A
Honors Precalculus - next sem
Honors Biology - A
Honors Civics and Economics - A
PLTW Intro to Engineering Design (weighted as a 6.0 course) - A
PLTW Principles of Engineering (weighted as a 6.0 cou) - next sem
Spanish 2 - A
Honors English 2 - A

GPA - 3.785 uw. and 4.57 w.

I think the three B's might get me rejected from residential, and possibly online if I don't choose it as my first choice.

But hopefully my Essay's make up for it:

And also, I volunteer at my Middle School's Science Olympiad team. I volunteered at Discovery Place over the summer and acquired 150 hours.
One more thing, I LOVE math, and even though I'm only in Algebra 2, I have great knowledge of calculus, and even help some of my junior and senior friends with their calculus homework. In eight grade, I placed 6th in Astronomy, 5th in Road Scholar, and 2nd in Dynamic Planet in NATIONALS for Science Olympiad.

-scored 21/25 on AMC 8 in seventh grade, honor award for top 5%
-Kumon Math Honor Role - rank 1 out of over 11,000 students

That's about it, it would be really helpful if I could get some tips from Juniors or Seniors who are already at the school, or students who have already graduated. The thing I'm worried about most is my GPA... so I'd love it if I could also know the "stats" of the students who go or went to NCSSM.
I may be sounding desperate, but I am. I reaaaallllllllllyyyyyyyyy want to go to that school.

btw NCSSM is a really prestigious boarding school in NC and only about a quarter of applicants get in, but my district (Mecklenburg county) is extremely competitive.

My main question is. .. . .. . .. Do I have a chance at residential? Or should I just stick with online for now???

BTW - 760 on math 1 subject test if that matters

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
