NCSSM Class of 2016- Future Applicants

Guys there really is nothing to be nervous about. The test was SUPER EASY. There were only a few geometry questions; most of it was simple algebra. The time limit shouldn’t be a hindrance either; most people in my room had time to finish and then check over some of their answers. Don’t freak out, I’m sure you’ll all do fine! One of my friends thinks the purpose of test is to filter out those who are really bad at math. If you passed algebra one and geometry, you’ll be fine! Don’t worry about it :)

@WhiteRabbit98 Yes! That would be so great; aslkdfjas;lefkjwepoij and I might even see you tomorrow (even though I won’t know who you are)

@IceeSky Okay, that’s good! I was so worried about the time limit. Hopefully I’ll do okay idk I guess I’ll feel better when it’s over.

Oh, okay! Thanks a bunch, @IceeSky! I feel a little better now… :)

@songbird13 Yeah, chances are we’ll definitely see each other!! :D

@WhiteRabbit98 yes! It’s coming up so quickly, IT’S IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS!

@songbird13 FJOWFKJDSOJKD I feel like strangling something! I feel so jittery!

Who else is going to D-Day tomorrow? I know @whiterabbit98 , @songbird13 is. Anyone else?

@galaxyunicorm i’m going to the discovery day tomorrow.

And also does anyone know if the math questions are multiple choice

@Keo691 it’s not multiple choice
basically just a blank for you to fill in your answer ya know

Are there any word problems or problems that takes more than two minutes to solve?

@galaxyunicorn no
guys don’t stress about it, all you literally need to know is how to factor

@loltired Factoring is my favorite topic. I just hope that it is all factoring or at least 10 questions factoring.

Well. Yay factoring, I suppose! :D

Sweet factoring is my best math subject! Made a TI 84 factoring program in 6th grade lol.

Well the test really wasn’t so bad! Now all I can do is wait… T_T

@WhiteRabbit98 Yeah pretty much.

Waiting is the hardest part :confused:

@IceeSky Definitely. It’s okay when you’re actually DOING something for your application, like working on the essay questions or studying for the Discovery Test, but once that’s all over, it’s the grueling wait that really gets ya… April 3rd seems so far away…

How many are they putting on finalist on April 3rd? I know they save like 20-40 seats for waitlisted.

Hey, I know I’m joining this forum incredibly late, but I’m applying and just had my Discovery Day yesterday. :)
