NCSSM Decisions.

Any recommendations for classes to take/avoid? At Discovery Day, everyone seemed positive about the Forensics course.

What English Lit courses are good (thinking past the first two trimesters)?

My son is good at science and math and likes them ok, but he also likes writing. He's very interested in history, politics, and English.

Please share your experiences!

my best friend's boyfriend got accepted there. apparently he's some kind of genius or something.

I'll I've heard is not to take Latin.
The research would probably be helpful. NCSU Delta doesn't look like it offers a lot.

I've heard back from 2 people who were accepted for this year. I'm waiting to hear back from the third person I know who applied.

So, any one starting post-Calculus BC? I'm applying next year.... And that's the level I'll be at.
Oh, and I saw the 2008-2009 course catalog was posted. A lot of changes.

finalist
i have no idea what to take :(
i hope i get that big packet of stuff soon so i can have some kind of idea before going to welcome day

u r wrong abt not taking Latin...totally wrong..if u like it..and u want to either start it or continue it, there's no reason whatsoever why u shudn't take it.

dont worry, i was in the same situation shaar! talk w/ a senior or the registrar during the welcome day...b4 u turn in ur preregistration stuffs...they'd be a ALOT of help. review the graduation requirements..and do a rough plan for two yrs.

Hey- i know this is really superduper old but maybe someone knows about this. People have said that the Raleigh area is very competive with Enloe, SE, and Broughton. I live in raleigh too! but anyways, my friends dad is a statictician with WCPSS. With Broughtons whole IB program, only THIRTY kids in the ENTIRE school are involved. I applied JUST FOR the IB program, and did not get in as compared to the kids who don't give a crap that did. Why are these schools so excellent and known when only a TINY percentage take part in what the school offers?!?! it makes me kind of mad.

anyways where is this school??

It's in Durham.

Are these kids freshmen?

Everyone who applies to NCSSM is a sophomore.
