Hi everyone. I've got a question I'd like some help with. I recently attended an information session at ND. Afterward, I was talking with the admissions counselor who ran the session. She asked about my stats, grades, etc. I was planning to apply RD, but the counselor recommended that I apply EA. I want to do so, but am afraid I could wind up regretting it later if things don't go my way (since EA admissions is very conservative). So my question is, if I'm a little concerned about my stats and such, should I go ahead and follow her advice and apply EA?

By the way, I'm not a legacy. Thanks for your advice!

We need to see your stats.

You would put "utd" in your screen name.

Nine times out of ten, worse thing that happens is you get deferred, and you just have a longer wait...

I would follow advice from ND Admissions staffer. I think they tend to discourage people from applying EA if they are not strong candidates, if anything. Being encouraged is a good sign. Again would help to know your stats. My impression is that EA decsion pays a lot of atttention to the applicants' having SAT scores in the higher range of what entering class has - say top third or so.

I agree, if ND admissions says go, then GO unless you are opposed. It shouldn't hurt you if they are saying you should do it.
