Extracurriculars: Crew captain, DECA VP (of my school’s chapter), Board Member for my school’s National Business Honor Society, NHS member, Interact Club, Altar Server since I was 8, helped to start a non profit organization, School Store worker, have gone on 3 mission trips with my youth group

I applied to Mendoza

Do I have any sort of a chance? Based on previous posts, it would appear as though someone like me would get rejected.

I think you have a good chance. ACT slightly low but strong otherwise. Legacy helps.

Do you know date of notice this month?

@MKR2365 While you standardized test scores are a little low, they at least put you in the discussion given your legacy status.

The 4.2 weighted GPA is meaningless as it relates to anyone chancing you. Their is no consistent method across all high schools in how they weight. We would need to know your unweighted GPA and if possible, your class rank.

Typically an unweighted GPA below the upper 3.8’s and ACT’s below the Mid 50%, I would say your chances are not good. Obviously the legacy status does factor into the decision. Given your ACT, I would feel more comfortable if your unweighted was closer to a 4.0.
