Results: Accepted at Michigan, waitlisted at Notre Dame</p>

ACT Highest Composites: 34 English, 30 Math, 32 Reading, 26 Science
AP Test Scores: American History 5, European History 5, English 4, American Government 4, Calculus AB 3, Chemistry 2 (as you can tell, I'm not a science/math person lol)</p>

<p>Currently: NROTC midshipman at the University of Michigan; taking 18 credits with approximately a 3.6-3.7 average; looking at pursuing a Political Science degree with the chance of studying Arabic in the future.</p>

<p>Other Comments: I think what ultimately got me waitlisted at ND was my Science subscore on the ACT, which lowered my composite to a 30 and put me in the thick of ACT scores for 2007 applicants. Pretty happy in Ann Arbor, but it's been a lifelong dream of mine to attend Notre Dame. Regretted not applying to Vanderbilt or Duke originally, so I'm putting in a transfer application to see what happens. Originally recruited to play football at Navy, Georgetown, and Ivies, but put football on hold to attend Notre Dame :-/ Out of the three, Notre Dame is definitely my top choice to attend.</p>

<p>Haha, sounds like a good plan! Michigan is an awesome place: it's a great mixture of both academics and social life. I'm happy here, but going to Notre Dame has always been my lifelong goal and ambition; it's not a case of me not liking Michigan, but my desire to go to Notre Dame. I've also always been interested in Vanderbilt and Duke but never applied regularly, so I felt like putting in transfer apps to see what would happen. But, Notre Dame is definitely my number one choice.</p>

<p>But otherwise...i think you would have a good chance at ND and VB as long as your first semester grades are solid. Duke might be a reach.</p>
