Can anyone recommend any food, particularly foodie or barbecue, in greater Oberlin?
Everything we’ve had at The Feve has been excellent.
Yes we love The Feve too! The owner is really nice and the food is inventive with a fun pub atmosphere. My daughter loves the Indian restaurant but I haven’t been. We have also been to the restaurant in the Oberlin Hotel and it’s hit or miss. I have had great meals and meh ones.
I happen to like the Chinese restaurant near Gibson’s. We’ve never had a bad meal there.
^^My son eats at that Chinese restaurant every single week!! He also loves the Feve.
Thank you for the suggestions. I have had a good burger at The Feve. I will try them again and some of the other suggestions.
Can anyone add anything about vegetarian or vegan food?
Lots of vegetarian options. There is a great Indian restaurant in town - I think it’s called India Garden and my daughter goes often with friends. There are veggie options at Agave, casual mexican. For American food, The Feve has both vegetarian and vegan options and so does Black River Cafe. They also have several Chinese and Asian options in town along with a pizza/Italian place.
here are some ideas:from a fellow foodie:
- delorenzos pizza: the owner is very well known within pizza circles, we haven’t loved everything but the margarita was very good. I understand he cooks Neopolitan one night as well, I’m willing to bet he does a great job with that.
- feve: I know it's beloved and popular but haven't loved it, especially the burger which has an off-seasoning (if you're from the east coast). tater tots are great!
- pappy bobs bbq: limited menu, have only been here twice (and that was two years ago) but it was very good. I'm a bbq judge, these guys have obviously competed in contests.
my overall recommendation is to stay in cleveland. It has a burgeoning restaurant scene, prices are reasonable and there are some cool spaces by the water. Also, hotels were less expensive than around oberlin
