Need a 1 month SAT Critcial Reading Plan

I have taken sat twice, june 2010 and november 6th 2010
in my previous test in june i got CR: 410 Math: 610

I took my second test today but dont think my CR improved much probably around 450
I need a plan to get to 500 or better.

I have on month to get ready for this december sat which is my last
Any books and what schedule should i follow. I dont really know much vocabulary either.
In school english im fine i got 91 on my english regents since im from new york we have to take regents examinations. But sat reading has not been my thing. Anyone any suggestions.

I feel 1 month is a lot of time to make improvement from an average of 410-430
Any help would be highly appreciated.

all i can really say is practice practice practice.

the collegeboard blue book is a good investment

Pray.
10char

I do have the college board book what about it

if you continue to do reading sections, you will get used to the test, thus increase your score. if you look up like common sat words you should get a list of a few hundred, and if you have a lot of time, you can memorize as many as you can.

definitely memorize 50-100 SAT vocab words (Direct Hits is good)
you can’t really study for CR, but you can practice, practice, and practice!!

time yourself and see how you do best

So since I’m mainly looking forward to improve reading score I should just practice and try memorizing mmwords. Where will find a few but helpful words. Also will practice really make a difference?

I really reccomend doing wilsondailyprep.com. practically everyone at my school takes classes there, but since you probably don’t live near it you can do it online. you do 5 or 6 question for math and critical reading a day (although i’m pretty sure only one question is math).
then there’s a vocab game you can play with like 300 or something of the most-used sat words. there are also sheets that you can download that are REALLY helpful, especially for the grammar multiple choice, although that’s not what you asked about.

anyway, i know i sound like an advertisement, but I found it really helpful

here are some words that appear frequently (or at least I found):
cantankerous, truculent, ebullient vindicated, placate, perverse, vapid, indolent, plethora, supercilious, superfluous

you should be familiar with how to determine tone & how to INFER from the passage

***really good tips: do not pick an answer choice unless there is TEXTUAL EVIDENCE (I can’t stress this enough) in the passage. Look through EACH CHOICE (also can’t stress this enough) because you’re asked the pick the BEST choice, and even if A or B looks really good, you should still skim the rest to see if it fits. Another tip: if ANY LITTLE PART of an answer choice doesn’t fit (any adjectives, any plural nouns instead of singular, anything where you can’t find textual evidence-unless it’s an infer question), you should cross it out.

At gracebio all help is appreciated I’m planning to spend a hour and half each day on reading so trying to gather my resources I will check out that site but i hope its free
