I submitted my application to Fordham through the commonapp. The commonapp had nothing regarding an essay, but I just recently checked the website requirements and it says that an essay was required. I actually have a personal essay already done from applications to other schools, but I am unsure if there is a specific essay question that needs to be answered.

Also, if my personal essay is ok to use, can I e-mail it to Fordham admissions? It would be much faster e-mailing than sending it through the mail. Iv'e already sent the rest of my supporting materials.

Any help would be great. I'm a little nervous because I haven't received any mail or e-mails from Fordham.

The common app does have an essay to fill out-

“Please provide a statement that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve.”

But, I would contact Fordham with an email first. Just let them know you did not have your essay attached (they know the common app has been having some problems), then ask which they would like you to send.

Id say just send an essay about the question above.

Where was this essay question located? There was no writing supplement section. I went through the entire application about ten times to make sure that there were no errors.

I don’t know how you submitted it without finishing the writing portion. I know it wouldn’t have let me. I hate using that stupid website haha.

Anyway, click on the tab at the top, that says “Common App”.

Then along the left side it says,
-Personal
-Family
-Education
…
…
-Writing

It is the very last one along the left side. It is the main essay you fill out.

And make sure you actually submitted the application, there should be a green check mark next to Fordham in the Dashboard. You should have got a conformation email from Fordham that the application was submitted.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, lol sorry for the mix up. I didn’t know that the only essay that Fordham required was the commonapp essay. On their website, it said an essay had to be submitted and I assumed that it would be in addition to the commonapp essay. Thank you so much. I feel like an idiot.
