Long story short one of my roommates had an "accident" on my laptop. I've had the laptop for awhile (since freshman year) and it was struggling but I was going to try and nurse it for one more school year (I'm a senior).

Beginning of the semester, I'm in the middle of going through the job search, semester and club work is starting to pick up so I need to pick up a new laptop this weekend.

I have a low level/bottom of the line Dell now and I'd rather stay away from dell. I'm a finance major and use excel a lot, so that rules out Apple (price does too).

Any advice? I don't game or do much heavy streaming, just basic email, Internet, Microsoft office, etc...

Obviously more memory/gigs the better but I don't need a top of the line laptop. My current laptop has a battery life of about 2 hours (if that) so anything will be an improvement on that.

Any advice? I've heard good things about Lenovo and Asus but I am open to almost anything. My needs are pretty basic but I don't think I could do a chromebook, love the price but I need Microsoft office.

Thanks!!
