need advice/help (what to do?)

I did the Transfer agreement last Fall of 05 to get into SDSU for Fall of 06 for Accounting Major if I maintained a 2.9 GPA and completed the required business courses.

Heres my problem, in Spring of 06 (supposed to be my last sem) I unfortunately missed my final in Business Calc (my LAST class) in order to 100% get into SDSU as an Accounting Major.

I was unable to retake the final (***** teacher) so I had to take it in the summer as of now. This week is the last week and I am going to pass it for sure.

My question is, will I still be able to get accepted or take upper division accounting courses in Fall? Or am I totally *ed and have to reapply and wait 1 year...? It is my *LAST damn class which will be finished by August 4th and I will have a 3.0-3.1 GPA

I still haven't been notified online on red portal or w/e if I was rejected or not just that I have been admitted and are reviewing my final transcripts. It says PRE-Business major and my registration date is on Aug 15.

Anyone know what I should do? I really don't want to wait a year to get into SDSU.

Reason I want in SDSU so much is cause I live near and would be a 30min commute compared to like going into San Marcos which is going to be 1hour+.

Also wanted to ask one last thing, would it be possible if I can just petition or something to take upper division Accounting in the Spring of 07?

I mean, there other majors that are GPA 2.4 etc. to get into SDSU, could I not just change my major temporarily to be admitted? Then petition/change back to Accounting and take my courses during the Spring since I have my classes/GPA fulfilled?

I would call the office of admissions right away to see what they have you for courses completed and ask what your status is....if you have a registration date set though it seems like you would for sure be accepted unless they go back on the transcript and see you are without that certain class.

I don't really know how it works for transfers changing majors and such because youre entering to take upper division, sorry not much of a help

just call and tell them the story. i dont think any of us know enough about the system to know. good luck with things.

this is a really specific situation. you should call admissions --- they'd have a better time answering your questions than a few college students going off assumptions.
