Need advice on the Visual Studies major please

Hey guys I need your advice. I know that in the long run, I want to be doctor but I still need to choose a college major. I’ve always been interested in the sciences and I’m really good at it but I’ve recently been interested in sketching and drawing. That’s when I saw the Visual Studies major at University of Pennsylvania where it combines psychology, neuroscience, and the arts! But the problem is I don’t think I’m that good at drawing. I would love to learn though.
Will that be a major problem? Sorry if this is a obvious question

Hey I want to be a doctor too and I’m not sure what I’m going to major in either.
I think, in my personal opinion, that is kind of risky considering you just developed the interest in sketching and drawing. (I’m assuming you have no experience whatsoever) However, this does not mean you cannot learn. If I were you, I would minor in something drawing related instead of majoring in it. Also I think we don’t have to declare our majors until the end of sophomore year, someone correct me if I’m wrong, so you could always take a couple courses first and then decide how much you like it and how good you are at it.

That is true that you don’t have to declare your major until the end of sophomore year but I’m in a dual enrollment high school, so I’ll be getting my first two years of college done by the time I graduate. That’s why I’m worrying about what I should major in now.

@Arsey9 wow good for you. Maybe take a couple courses during the summer and see how much you really are interested and how talented you are? When I develop a new interest, I either fall in love with it really quickly or decide it’s not for me after just a couple days
