I'm looking to transfer out of my school and have a few ideas on where I'd like to apply, but I'm not too sure. I'm currently a freshman at NYU and have several reasons for transferring, but it boils down to a real lack of community and I have realized that I want a smaller class body size and a campus. I did pretty well in the #1 public high school in Connecticut, maintaining a 3.87 UW GPA (on a 4.5 scale). I got a 2030 on the SATs. I also have ECs which include a couple media related internships, an outplacement firm, and varsity tennis. I struggled a bit with the adjustment to city life this first semester and ended up with a 3.1 GPA. I am looking at schools with a student body of around 2,000 to 10,000 now. I am a communications major but I am considering switching so that doesn't need to play an essential role in possible schools. Any suggestions?

For a couple reaches I am looking at Cornell (triple legacy and a program that is more lenient), Hamilton (would be tough to get in)

Matches: Lehigh (legacy), Union College

I know this sounds kind of all over the place which is why I need some more advice/suggestions. Let me know, thanks!
