Need Advice...

So I am currently a Senior in High School and I am graduating on June 7th. I don't want to mess anything up at college and I want the best possible plan to transfer. I am planning on transferring to UC Davis and majoring in Wildlife, Fish Conservation Biology. I was organizing my classes and I realized it would take me up to 3 years to transfer instead of 2. Here is my list of classes I made.

Summer 13: Pre-Algebra
Fall 13: Elementary Algebra, English 1A, Music 10, Counseling 200A&B
Spring 14: Intermediate Algebra, Art 1, Chemistry 30A, English 5
Summer 14: Geometry, Chemistry 30B
Fall 14: Trig, History 7A, Chemistry 1A, Humanities 1
Spring 15: Pre-Cal, Chemistry 1B, Biology 1A, Psychology 1A
Summer 15: Economics 1
Fall 15: Biology 1B, Calculus 1, Communications 45, Principle Physics 1A
Spring 16:Calculus 2, Principles Physics 1B, Intro To Conservation Biology

I think placing really low in math messed me up. I got placed in Pre-Algebra even tho I'm taking Algebra 2 my senior year of high school. And I can't find a community college that has the classes principles physics 1A, 1B, and intro to conservation biology. I don't even know if they have prerequisites for those classes. I'm really worried that I'm going to stay at a community to long. Is there anyway I can make myself transfer in two years.

Just out of curiosity, are geometry and pre-cal pre-reqs for Calculus at the JC you’re enrolling in? I can understand in HS, but at JC?

Also, make sure calculus isn’t a pre-req for Economics and Principles Physics 1A/B. Althoug it can be done, you probably don’t want to take calculus concurrently with those other courses.

Intermediate Algebra and Geometry are pre-reqs for Trig. Intermediate Algebra is a pre-req for Pre-Cal. Trig and Pre-cal are pre-reqs for Calculus. And the pre-reg for economics is intermediate algebra. I’m not sure for physics though. I have yet to find that class.

I’d recommend retaking the math placement exam again… this time, study for it. Quickly review algebra principles you’re strong in; primarily focus your study on areas you have trouble in. Hopefully this time around you’ll do well enough to place into Geometry!
