So I'm looking into going into the field of Advertising. The school I plan on attending doesn't offer Advertising as a major so I will most probably double major in Marketing and Journalism as I've learned that at that school it's pretty much one of the best routes for someone with Advertising interests to go.

However, I am looking to get a head start! I would love to get a summer internship and gain some experience. I am a senior in high school though which obviously makes it a bit tougher...

If you don't have any connections, what is the best way to go about looking for an internship? And according to my interests, what kind of places would you all recommend me to look at for interning?

Advertising is on a whole different level than banking/consulting/what-we-usually-talk-about-here. The top advertisers as listed on Vault's prestige list are companies I have never heard of. But being an intern at a big company will no doubt help you. Here are some easier internships to get into while in college that will help:

-Walt Disney World's College Internship (You make minimum wage selling turkey legs or operating rides BUT get to live in a town house and take classes and go clubbing -- that's the real deal there)

-GE
-IBM
-Dell (As a campus representative)

ANy company really is fine. Good for you that you are double majoring. I was once thinking of Triple Majoring, but school got too boring.
