Need Advice

I got a 1800 on October SAT i dont know *** happened. I need a 2000+. I think its possible. But wat should i do. I take a practice test every Saturday. I have 2 weeks left. I am taking it this December. Last chance i am a senior! How do i get the 200 points! help for vocab i am studying Word Smart. MATH i should get a 800 i have done freakin calculus 2 and SAT Math is a joke in front of that however i still got a 650 makes me one drown my self :(.

I really need help in writing! suggestions?

BUMP plz need advice from you guys out there!

First off, school math classes are nothing like SAT 1 Math. Learning the types of problems for the SAT 1 math is crucial. Just like you, I have gotten a 5 on the AP Calculus got 800 on math 2, but did poorly on the SAT 1 math at first. Be sure to try and do as many practice tests as possible to get yourself exposed to different types of problems.

Practice tests.

Azngamer54 for math the thing is i know how to do it. I dont know how i got a 650 on the Oct test. However on practice tests i make mistakes like i found x but they were asking for 2x etc.

I got the same problem. My practice tests cant cut the 680 baseline. And I am worried. December test as well (:

Same problem here. I DID practice and learn all the types of questions, and still got a 670 on the Oct. SAT.

My only advice is to move onto the ACT. I studied all summer for the sat and got 670 M, 640W and 700CR. I know, pathetic.

I then was like might as well give the ACT a try and i ended up with a 32Math, 34English, and 32 Reading

first time i took them in may i got 600M, 630CR, and 720W. in october i got 710M, 670CR, and 700W. so the combined for colleges went from 1950 to 2100.

i didn't study much over the summer, did a couple practice tests. in september and in the first week of october i made some vocab flash cards from the list of the most common 1,000 SAT words (just picked like 40 from the list). i didn't study at all for writing since i was happy w/ my 720, but i definitely studied for math.

for math i focused on the sections i did poorly on, mainly probability (HATE it) and instead of doing full practice tests i just did the math sections.

hope that helps

Thanks smr15. Yes i think i am better off with ACT. I got a 29, only did really bad on English w/ a score of 22. however i plan to retake ACT in Dec. But first is SAT.

My next question is for writing again. Is there a list out there that lists ALL possible errors on SAT. Cause they just repeat over and over.... i am kind of cathing on. Got a 700 on my last practice test, that cause my grader gave me a 6 on my essay. However i still need that list
