Need based financial aid

<p>Question: How generous is Pitt with need based financial aid? My EFC -- according to several calculators online -- is roughly 5,000 USD. I'd love to attend Pitt (and I am already accepted; no scholarships, though) but I am so worried I won't be able to afford it... I am in-state, by the way.</p>

<p>No words of encouragement here. Unless you consider federal Stafford loans Pitt FA then Pitt is not very generous with need based FA. Unless you have a 1450+ M/CR SAT they also aren’t too generous with merit aid. They do seem to be slightly more generous with OOS URM students.</p>
